Tasks and responsibilities:The person we are looking for will be responsible for the battery lab and all the equipment.The person will also be responsible for specifying test scope, designing test cases and performing test of battery packs. Lead verification work in battery development projectDefine the verification plan of a battery projectsLead and track verification activities on both sides of the V-model providing input to project manager on the progress of the project deliverablesPerform pack tests, analyse test data, write test reports and report the results to the project managerSupport system management and product management in the validation of the requirementsLead battery laboratory development and maintenanceBuild up test rigs per requirements from battery packDesign and implement / lead SW development for the automatic operation of the test rigsKeep inventory list of equipment on the siteAdjacent competences of compliance leading and system management is also an advantage if it is possessed but not core for the role. The lab and test engineer will report to the Test & Verification team lead. The T&V team lead is reporting to the R&D director who is reporting the head of the BCC.Requirements:This is a role that will suit anyone who is aspiring to approach and ultimately master the heart in the electrification journey that the world has embarked on – the battery. Knowledge and interest in battery technology and relevant standards is a must. Further, what is absolutely essential is willingness to learn – this is one of the groups most dynamic environment, both from a technology perspective and from an organizational perspective.BSc in relevant engineering fields.Several years of experience in one or several of the aspects of the role above.You must possess a profound interest in batteries, verification work and test leading.You must have a profound understanding of the workings and dangers of Lithium-Ion-Batteries.You must be experienced in specifying, sourcing and installing test equipment for a battery lab, including writing specification, equipment selection, debugging of test equipment, building a battery lab, including writing specification, equipment selection, handling suppliers and maintaining budget tracking/control and project management for the battery lab activities.You must be experienced in recording, handling, analysing and visualizing test data from different common formats.You must also like the hands-on work that comes with hands-on testing and leading prototype builds. You must be able to understand technical descriptions, regulations and standards.English fluency in both writing and speaking is a must.You are expected to travel to other and to suppliers.This is a role that requires physical presence in the office with max 1 day home office per week.Michael Bailey International is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
