Calypso Engineer

Our client, a prominent financial institution, is currently in search of an experienced Calypso DevOps Engineer to join their Wholesale & Rural Tech FX, MM & Rates Area. Responsibilities:

As a Calypso DevOps Engineer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the functionality and stability of the Calypso Production environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Development: Creating and implementing complex new features within Calypso.
• Support: Providing functional and technical support for Calypso on a 24x7 rotational basis.
• Automation: Automating deployment, testing, system health checks, and other manual processes.
• Collaboration: Working closely with the Product Owner and DevOps teams to understand requirements.
• Maintenance: Ensuring the upkeep of existing Automated Test Solutions.
• Process Improvement: Collaborating with the development team to enhance working practices and release processes.
• Support: Meeting SLAs by providing incident management support and resolutions.
• Liaison: Coordinating with other support teams and departments to troubleshoot and solve problems.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess:

• Calypso Experience: Familiarity with Calypso Version 13+ or higher.
• Programming Skills: Hands-on experience with object-oriented programming, particularly Java.
• Financial Knowledge: Understanding of financial products, including Foreign Exchange, Money Markets, and Derivatives.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in SQL, Linux, and scripting.
• Continuous Delivery: Knowledge of tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, and ANT (Microsoft Azure experience is a plus).
• Automation Tools: Experience with automated testing tools like Fitnesse, Selenium, or similar.
• Financial Processes: Familiarity with trade processing, confirmations, settlements, payments, and accounting.
