We are currently looking for an Energy market analyst (m/f/d) for our client

Background/ goal
- Analysis of European electricity markets
- Further development of electricity price forecasting methods
- Development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the evaluation of price forecasts

Tasks (independent delivery):
• Conduct in-depth analysis of energy market data, including supply and demand, pricing, regulatory policies, and industry trends.
• Develop mathematical models and algorithms to forecast market behavior, assess risk, and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Utilize advanced statistical analysis techniques to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess market risks, develop pricing strategies, and optimize energy trading activities.
• Evaluate market developments, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify potential impacts on the business.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations based on analysis and findings, and communicate them to stakeholders.


Skills:
-Bachelor's or Master's degree in Energy Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
-Proven experience as an Energy Market Expert or similar role, with a deep understanding of the energy industry and market dynamics.
-Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to manipulate and interpret complex data sets.
-Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (in particular Python) and experience with data visualization techniques.
-Familiarity with energy market models, optimization algorithms, and forecasting techniques.
-Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to analyze and interpret market data.
-Strong knowledge of energy market fundamentals, including supply and demand dynamics, pricing mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks.
-Effective communication and presentation skills to convey complex concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
-Experience with energy trading, risk management, or financial analysis is a plus.
-Knowledge of energy market software or platforms is an advantage
