We are currently looking for an electrical engineer (m/f/d) for our energy client Start: 02.05.2022 End: 31.10.2022Volume: fulltime Location: Vohburg an der Donau/onsite 10 % - remote 90% Project description:The client has held a brainstorming workshop to identify a broad range of opportunities to enhance the value of two of its power stations located at a single site in Bavaria. The project deliverables are to i) carry out an initial technical and commercial evaluation of the questions raised and ideas developed in the workshop, ii) identify other approaches to capture opportunities and/or resolve problems that were identified in the workshop and iii) rank the ideas based on technical and economic criteria and make a recommendation to the client outlining which ideas it should evaluate in more detail.Task:1. Carry out interviews with nominated participants from the brainstorming workshop to check if all questions posed and ideas developed in the workshop are understood correctly. 2. Carry out a desktop evaluation of the ideas developed in a brainstorming workshop in late 2021.3. Identify other ways that could create further value, in addition to the ideas created in the workshop based on own experience and/or research carried out as part of this project. 4. Confirm the feasibility of any technical assumptions used in the desktop study through in person interviews with site personnel of the plant in Bavaria. Confirm the feasibility of commercial assumptions used in the desktop study through MS Teams interviews with personnel based in other client locations. Revise assumptions if required based on findings from the interviews. Through the course of the project an estimated 1-3 interviews, each lasting 1-3 hours for different specialists varying from maintenance, plant performance and operation, market assumptions, grid services etc. based on a list provided by client5. A final presentation to the Plant Management Team and the Head of Asset Performance Management outlining the evaluation of each idea and a recommendation outlining which ideas should be pursued and why. Include the following in the presentation material:A. Technical and commercial assumptions usedB. Commercial evaluations of each idea developed based on1. Overall estimated cash flow impact, broken down by;a. Estimated changes to revenues and costsb. Estimated changes to controllable costsc. Estimated changes to capital expenses2. Market conditions which would support the operational change or investment3. Key commercial risksMain tasks:- Define the opportunities to improve for more values - Energy economics and enginner expertise for an powerstation- consult the engineers at the sight about options to improve the powerstationMust have:- techical know how of a powerstation - university education with energy focus or (least knowledge in power station business)- Understanding of financial background of power station- engineering background and moderate ability to finance nice to have:- practical experience in power stations - knowledge about big or small invests on an powerstation.- understanding of economic AND engineering part of an power stationMichael Bailey International is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
