Seeking- Flex and Forecasting Analyst

6 Month Contract

What’s the role?

As a Flex Forecasting Analyst, you’ll be responsible for working with and supporting our largest UK-based B2B customers with their energy demand forecasting activities:

  • Proactively reviewing customer’s energy usage, recommending forecast changes to customers and supporting them with understanding their demand.
  • Validating customer forecasts and challenging these where appropriate in an approachable and diplomatic manner.
  • Timely processing of customer reforecasts and supporting with the E2E reforecast journey.
  • Being a key point of contact for both internal & external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.

As a member of the wider UK B2B demand forecasting team you’ll also have the opportunity to:

  • Forecast energy usage for customers on non-flex contracts.
  • Support the rest of the UK B2B DF team with an ongoing project to overhaul the existing demand forecasting system.

What we need from you

Essential:

  • Energy forecasting experience or position management experience.
  • An understanding of external factors that can impact energy usage.
  • An understanding of B2B energy products (flex, fixed etc)
  • Highly proficient with SQL and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with large data sets.
  • Strong communication skills, in particular ability to convey complex issues to those with a varying understanding of the subject matter.
  • Strong attention to detail and able to identify data that doesn’t look right.

Desirable:

  • Experience creating & maintaining PowerBI dashboards, especially in a management-information (MI) context.
  • Experience with data modelling in R.
  • Experience participating in user-acceptance testing and writing user-acceptance test scripts.
