As of now we are looking for a Lead Engineer / Principal Engineer Azure at our client, you make a difference in technology, process, and people. The company is a well established bank in the financial sector.
Our areas together comprise approximately 50 squads. For many of the squads, Azure is the foundation on which we build. We need your help to create groundbreaking solutions for our 7 million customers.

We are taking the next step in our transformation and therefore opening this position. We are moving our organization from IT to Tech. As a Principal Engineer, you are the visionary who supports technical projects and brings advanced data solutions to life. Your role is crucial in shaping the technical architecture, designing innovative systems, and implementing solutions that manage and analyze data optimally. And when necessary, you step in to solve high-urgency issues.
You are here to make an impact, and you do this by:
Taking a leadership role in projects related to data and Azure, pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
Designing and implementing scalable, cutting-edge data solutions in the Azure ecosystem. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to determine and monitor the technical direction.
Striving for the highest standards in data management and security by evaluating and implementing best practices.
Solving complex technical issues and acting as a mentor and guide for your team.
Viewing the world with a growth mindset. As mentioned earlier, we assess where your competencies are best suited.
| Requirements |
It is logical that innovation, coaching, impact, communication skills, and vision are indispensable for the role of Principal Engineer. Additionally, it is important that you recognize yourself in the following checklist:
Demonstrable academic level (Master) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Your programming skills (10-15 years of experience) are sharp, with expertise in languages such as Python and SQL, but the exact language doesn't matter to you.
You have extensive experience with Azure services such as Azure Data Lake Gen2, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database or perhaps Airflow.
You are a trusted coach and thought leader within your field, especially regarding future developments in technical languages and techniques.
Innovation is in your DNA, and you play a leading role in exploring new technologies and actively contributing to innovation within the organization.
Your ability to provide advice is unparalleled, and you are an essential link in the Agile work.
