Lead Information Security Officer

Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to take on the role of Lead Information Security Officer, responsible for spearheading second-line Information Security activities within our client's organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage second-line Information Security functions, ensuring alignment with our client's organizational needs, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a robust Information Security Management Framework, overseeing day-to-day security tasks such as policy translation, risk assessments, and control maintenance.
  • Enhance management information, incorporating Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for effective oversight.
  • Supervise policy execution and facilitate their implementation, including third-party risk assessments and outsourcing initiatives.
  • Drive awareness and training initiatives, fostering a culture of security awareness across our client's organization.
  • Actively participate in projects and change initiatives, integrating Information Security requirements into processes.
  • Cultivate strong internal relationships, particularly within the IT community and senior management, to steer Information Security direction and provide expertise to stakeholders.

Team:

The Information Security function operates as part of the second line of defense within our client's Operational Risk Management (ORM) team.

The Information Security team, consisting of professionals with diverse backgrounds, plays a pivotal role in establishing a secure environment aligned with our client's business goals. They focus on implementing and monitoring controls and policies, continually assessing and improving them to meet specific security and business objectives. Comprehensive reporting and organizational awareness are integral aspects of this role.

Requirements:

  • A professional background in Information Security with strong IT knowledge.
  • Proficiency in developing policies and control frameworks.
  • Ability to prioritize critical issues and maintain focus.
  • Demonstrates a professional attitude with an innovative mindset.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, capable of translating complex Information Security concepts effectively.
  • Possesses a minimum of 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
