We are currently looking for a Project Management Consultant (m/f/n) for our energy client.

Location: 95% remote 5% onsite (Düsseldorf)

Project description:
The aim of the project is to consult our project management office in the project Östersund (Green Methanol Production in Sweden).
Task description:
- Set up, maintain and supervise portfolio and individual project plans as developed by and agreed upon with innovation manager according to the innovation agenda and personal targets for projects that aim to reduce CO2 in fuels as part of our CO2 to fuels project portfolio - by mainly using MS office and MS Teams. Present the project plans to the Innovation Manager for a sign off.
- Draft and format project related documents using MS office - based on client corporate design.
- Set up project documentation and coordinate project information flows between internal and external stakeholders mainly using MS office and MS Teams. Present the project documentation to the Innovation Manager for a sign off. Integrate project documentation in MS Teams.
- Set up, moderate and document project meetings and conduct remote workshops with internal and external project partners to discuss project related content on individual project needs. Prepare training material for the workshops. The number and participant number of project meetings and workshops depend on the needs of the business and will be communicated by the management.
- Prepare management communication based on swarm intelligence and present it to the Innovation Manager
- Set-up and calculate MS Excel business cases based on real figures (in case information is available and industry / project is mature enough) or hypotheses and assumptions to achieve informed positions - which includes developing a market understanding allowing to pitch a business case to the board / senior management). Come up with a hypothesis in case no hypothesis was provided for the case in advance.
- Perform research activities (do desktop and field research / interviews) to evaluate market size and technology readiness level on energy markets, the technology-landscape and potential project partners to evaluate the project viability and present it in a PowerPoint presentation to the innovation manager and client internal stakeholder. Evaluate based on viable business case / client strategic rationale. Decide freely on the methods of research.
- Analyse value chains and map capabilities (based on internal information provided in advance and the market analysis) for potential projects to evaluate the project viability and present it in the form of a documentation with proposals for improvement or implementation to the Innovation Manager (mainly in MS office) for sign off. Evaluate based on viable business case / client strategic rationale.
- Create initial drafts for board decisions (“strategic / financial decision”) and present it to the Innovation Manager.
- Update project portfolio and project plans for projects that aim to reduce CO2 in fuels as part of our CO2 to fuels project portfolio by mainly using MS office and MS Teams. Present the project plans for a sign off to the Innovation Manager.
- Create project documentation based on the information received from the Innovation Manager and develop project information flows. Present the project documentation for a sign off to the Innovation Manager. Present it afterwards to the internal and external stakeholders mainly using MS office and MS Teams.
- Moderate and document project meetings and conduct remote workshops with internal and external project partners to discuss and identify project related content on individual project needs. Consult the Innovation Manager on the identified content on individual project needs. Prepare training material by integrating and maintaining the previously created project documentation in MS Teams.
- Draft and format project documents (presentations, contracts, NDAs and LOIs) by using MS office.
- Consult the Innovation Manager regarding management communication and FD presentation based on expertise.
-Develop and calculate MS excel business cases based on previously provided information.
- Analyze the market size and technology readiness level on energy markets, the technology-landscape and potential project partners by performing research activities based on expertise. Evaluate the project viability based on the analysis and present the results in PowerPoint presentation to client for a sign off.
- Analyse value chains and map capabilities for potential projects to evaluate the project viability and present it to the Innovation Manager mainly in MS office for sign off
- Prepare initial drafts for board decisions (“strategic/ financial decision”) and present it to the Innovation Manager

Skills: (must have):
Min. 5-10 years of professional experience
First management experience
Quick comprehension
Ability to clearly structure and prioritise complex projects
Ability to manage stakeholders across hierarchies in a matrix organisation.
German is an advantage. English is a prerequisite.
