IT Security Officer

What you are going to do

As an IT security officer, you will play a key role in our client’s technological journey to become a leading digital retail bank. The organization has created a cloud foundation and moved a large number of its applications to the cloud.

You will have the opportunity to further improve the security of the cloud platforms and support the DevOps teams in their secure development of advanced applications and technologies. In addition to in-house developed and managed applications, they also use SaaS solutions.

The specific responsibilities of the IT Security Officer include:

• Assessing security documentation and providing advice to your aligned business domain.
• Being the trusted security advisor to your aligned business domain on all their IT security requirements.
• Assessing (new) service providers regarding their security compliance posture (Vendor Security Assessment).
• Playing an active role in improving the security fundamentals for the organization and developing best practices and security standards along with other security officers.
• Identifying current and emerging security technologies, trends, vulnerabilities, and threats, and playing an active part in managing risks.
• Automating recurring manual work in IT security control.
• Supporting and coaching DevOps teams in their secure software development process and promoting (cloud-native) application security.

Who you are

• At least 2 years working in a security-related domain with a holistic understanding of Security Fundamentals.
• Understanding and familiarity with AWS / Azure.
• Hands-on development experience and working knowledge of different DevOps tools is strongly appreciated.
• Security certifications are good to have, although not mandatory.
• Language skills: English. Dutch is considered an asset although not essential.

You are part of the IT Security and Control team responsible for the information security of the organization. The team, is part of the transformation and technology organization, and you will be in the middle of it all. The team has technical and process specialists, and together we keep the organization and its customers safe.
