Description
The Transformational Improvement Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and driving the delivery of the IDT (Improvement, Development, and Transformation) Transformational Improvement program within the ET&P (Engineering, Technology, and Production) sector. This role focuses on executing complex improvement initiatives, acting as a project manager, change agent, and coach to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver and Sustain Results:
- Lead and execute improvement initiatives across organizational hierarchies, boundaries, and geographies using hands-on application of improvement methods and tools.
- Define the scope and deliverables for improvement activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Adapt methodologies to suit specific circumstances and ensure successful outcomes.
Own and Coordinate Improvement Initiatives Pipeline:
- Facilitate brainstorming workshops to generate improvement ideas and encourage participation across geographies, emphasizing experiential learning.
- Develop and nurture improvement community networks to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Coach line managers and leaders on various aspects of improvement methodologies and approaches.
Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Facilitate cross-functional project teams and improvement workshops to drive collaborative problem-solving and innovation.
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities to address organizational gaps and enhance operational performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across ET&P to prioritize improvement initiatives and make informed decisions.
Establish Transformational Improvement Agenda:
- Establish the Transformational Improvement agenda for the assigned area of responsibility, aligning with organizational targets and priorities.
- Tailor the IDT Transformational Improvement deployment approach to meet specific organizational needs and drive sustainable results.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management), Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) and/or Lean Six Sigma is highly desirable.
- 7+ years proven experience in leading and delivering improvement initiatives within a complex organizational environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to define project scope, develop plans, and execute projects effectively.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills to engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functional areas, geographical locations, and organizational levels.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving sustainable improvements and delivering tangible business outcomes.
