Our client a global communications organisation is looking for a Technical Author/ Writer to join them on an initial 6 month contract in Dublin, Ireland.
The candidate will be part of a team and their duties will include writing, editing, proofreading and reviewing documentation. Provide regular feedback on your progress and interact with other writers on the same projects. Create online help and product tutorials and interact closely with developers and testers to ensure the accuracy of the documentation. Also the candidate will be providing information to the project leader to assist with project planning, including identifying problem areas and providing status updates.
The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience and a degree in either Technical Communications or relevant. The candidate must have a good understanding of FrameMaker and the concepts of page layout and template use. An excellent attention to detail which makes it easier to grasp the concepts underlying a complex, distributed system. In addition, any experience using WebWorks ePublisher or other online help applications is advantageous. Knowledge or skills in programming or scripting is a huge plus.
