Our client is a global telco and they are looking for a Development Manager to working for the Technology Manager. You will operate integrally with the digital business in order to drive business results by providing best-in-class digital platforms and services and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Lead a diverse team of developers, creating a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement:
Be the key point of accountability for a range of technology platforms and services including Continuous Integration services and AWS Platform
Define and maintain strategic roadmaps for the platforms / services within your domain which support both technology and business strategy.
Manage / operate technology platforms to ensure they are highly available, resilient and scalable;
Deliver complex and strategic programs of work.
Be recognised as the domain expert relating to your platforms and services by maintaining a deep understanding of industry trends, vendor roadmaps and relevant case studies;
Act as the primary point of contact for critical customer impacting operations incidents relating to your platforms;
Create, lead and drive a professional culture and working environment that is based on the premise that happy and engaged people are essential to the success of VHA
Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
Strong ability to maintain consultative/participative processes with key stakeholders within your Domain and across relevant domains both internal and external to the organisation
Ability to set clear direction and manage complex, matrix organisations for aligned operations
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to easily develop new relationships with suppliers and colleagues and to influence and impact from front-line to GM-level
3 - 5 years of proven and demonstrated experience and delivery within the digital domain
Comprehensive skills and experience in identifying, researching, evaluating and recommending new and emerging technologies.
Strong hands-on technical problem solving abilities
Strong focus on Operational Stability and demonstrated skills in aiding Operational teams
Advanced knowledge of Continuous Delivery practices with a solid background in software engineering encompassing agile engineering practices and continuous delivery;
Experience with Mobile delivery including mobile application development and responsive design;
Understanding of UX Design principles and experience with customer journeys and storyboards;
