Logistics Project Manager urgently required for our East Midland based client on a 6 month initial contract + extensions.
This role will have two components: Transition Delivery; you will be leading a technical team to manage the delivery of a number of complex IT migration activities. You will need to show judgement and experience in planning and executing these activities and documenting and managing the associated risks / issues. Assurance; you need to be able to work collaborative with a number of parties to ensure the best possible / most pragmatic solution to move the Programme forward, however, there needs to be the ability to challenge / disagree with an approach put forward by incumbent / incoming parties (whilst acknowledging that the solution is owned by the third parties).
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Project / Programme Management, preferably with a recognised qualification i.e. PRINCE 2, PMP. You will have excellent Stakeholder Management and Communication Skills (written and verbal) with solid experience of IT transition / Migration across Networks, Applications, End User Compute, User Accounts setup and transition, Storage, Data and Data Migration (including across a complex multi-site operational environment). You will also have a good understanding of IT / Cyber Security and knowledge of the Logistics IT environment. Experience of large scale complex mission critical IT migration is also essential.
