Founder and Group CEO
Mike founded the company back in 1989 out of a small office in London. Since then, he has carefully managed its transition from a start up to an established international company with a portfolio of top tier clients, through organic growth as well as acquisitions.
As Global CEO, he sets the strategy and direction for all companies, regions and divisions within the Michael Bailey Associates Group.
With an unwavering focus on exceptional client delivery and service, Mike has a hands-on approach, working closely with his team of international senior Regional and Country Managers, as well as keeping a firm handle on the processes and infrastructure running through the Group.
“Many of our competitors concentrate on the revenue generating part of the business, often at the expense of the fundamental organizational element. I believe that a strong support team is just as important as a dynamic sales function. Investment in processes and systems has to happen across the board, from Finance to Operations to Sales.”
He also believes that a strong culture and company values are critical to performance, and this comes from the top down.
“The culture I have developed encourages people to take ownership and responsibility when they are ready for it. Ambitious people can set the pace of their development and take control of their careers, and they will be fully supported along the way. 80% of my senior management team started out as trainees, and I’m very proud of that.”
Mike travels frequently to all of the offices within the Group, and makes sure he spends time with as many people as possible within the business. He attends company functions, and personally delivers part of the training program for new starters.
As Operations Director, James’s primary responsibility is to implement our global business strategy, ensuring consistency in processes and service delivery across all regional offices.
He manages the structure and development of all companies and divisions across the Michael Bailey Associates Group, focusing on customer satisfaction, contractor care and revenue growth.
