IT jobs in Australia set to grow into the future
The Job Outlook website, which provides comprehensive facts and figures about various industries in the country, profiles a range of IT jobs, looking at their future prospects and trends.
These include, among others, ICT managers, support technicians, business and systems analysts, database administrators and software programmers.
Job Outlook claims that most jobs in the ICT sector could be seeing moderate or strong growth during the next four years.
For example, it predicts that employment for ICT business and systems analysts will grow strongly through to November 2017. It also claims that the number of employees in this role grew over the last decade, with a whopping 33,900 people being recorded in this occupation as of last November.
Meanwhile, the number of people in IT management jobs is as high as ever - 51,800 at the last count in November 2012 - and is expected to continue to grow moderately.
The role also offers a sense of job security - Job Outlook reported that 93.6 per cent of ICT managers were in full-time positions last year.
