Why I’m hiring, and what I’m offering
Contrary to popular belief, recruitment consultancies – or good ones anyhow – are busier than ever, and because we focus on the tech market, we are especially so.
My team is working with more clients on more roles as they build out their teams in order to deliver business critical technology projects. Much of the resource needed is on a contract basis, and many of the skills sought are highly specialised, emerging, niche and difficult to find.
This environment means there are plenty of opportunities for ambitious recruitment consultants to do well and forge a successful career.
And I’m looking for more ultra-dedicated people to join my amazing team.
One of the biggest considerations when making a career move is opportunity; to progress, to increase earnings, to learn, to have fun.
I have mapped out a clear career path with an emphasis on setting and meeting goals. Promotion is given on merit when these goals are achieved, and not when a ‘vacant position’ arises.
Team & Culture
OK I may be biased, but the team is AWESOME! We support and help each other, knowledge is shared, best practice coached and achievements applauded. They have a genuine, innate desire to help people to improve their careers, and to solve problems for clients. And, they’re extremely fun to work with; office banter and camaraderie is the norm, and they make me proud every day.
The icing on the cake. Incentives help to keep the team goal focused at all times, and they reward attitude and behaviour, not just great results. Incentive targets often coincide with personal objectives; the aim is to motivate people to improve in order to achieve.
Incentives provide another avenue for team bonding, and a chance for me to show my own appreciation for what they do. I’ve put on activities such as skiing, quad-biking, canoeing, go-karting as well as indulgent trips away – a boat on the harbour at Christmas, a trip to the prestigious QT hotel in Daintree.
Ultimately, I’m looking for people who love the job. Recruitment isn’t for everyone, but if you have the ability to build rapport, get a buzz out of helping people, have grit and determination and a stellar work ethic, then you’ll not only excel at it, you’ll love it.
