Summer Incentive Trip: New York 2016
New York... The city that never sleeps!
New York is just one of many exciting destinations that we have taken our colleagues as part of our incentive trip scheme.
We recognise and reward the hard work and dedication of our teams by holding two high profile incentive trips for our European offices. The competition is tough as everyone wants to ensure they meet their individual targets to secure them a place.
This October saw fourteen of our European staff head to New York City for our summer incentive trip and we must say it was quite a memorable one!
With three full on days, our teams made sure they had the time to explore everything that New York has to offer. For some of our colleagues it was their first visit so the expectations were high!
A trip to New York isn’t complete without a visit to the Statue of Liberty, and whilst they were there our winners had the opportunity to take a ferry to Ellis Island where they learnt more about the 12 million immigrants who entered America through the portal of Ellis Island between the 19th and 20th century.
Our colleagues visited the American Museum of Natural History, the location of the well-known Night at the Museum trilogy, strolled through Central Park and walked around Grand Central Station.
Some of our team are boxing enthusiasts and they travelled to Brooklyn to see Gleason’s Gym, the gym where the legendary champion Muhammad Ali trained. They were privileged and honoured to meet Hector Roca, the world famous boxing trainer!
One of our colleagues, a former hip hop dancer organised a hip hop tour for our colleagues so they could experience New York’s popular music and cultural genre.
The evenings were spent at iconic restaurants like the Hard Rock Café and at STK. They had their own private area at STK which became the dance floor for the night!
“Knowing that our hard work doesn't go unnoticed is something that’s important to me. We’ve all worked hard together as team so it’s only right that we celebrate our success as a team too” said one of our IT Resourcers.
