The Michael Bailey Associates Dusseldorf team has relocated to a 5th floor office in the cosmopolitan Medienhafen district, with fantastic harbour views.
Established in 2010, the team has grown substantially, and the decision was taken to move out of our tired serviced office space to a more modern, sleek and stylish space in an extremely desirable location.
Situated on the banks of the Rhine on the south western edge of the city, ‘Medienhafen’, or the Media Harbour, is home to over 800 companies operating in a variety of industries such as media and communications, arts and culture, fashion and architecture. Inevitably, a vibrant bar and restaurant scene has also developed, contributing to its appeal as a thriving location for young professionals.
Formerly known as the ‘Rhine Harbour District’, Medienhafen was once made up of old warehouses and silos. Today however, complex buildings designed by renowned national and international architects like, Steven Holl, David Chipperfield and Frank O. Gehry grace the harbour.
Medienhafen has an eclectic mix of modern and historic architecture, ensuring that the monuments that reside there, such as the old quay walls, steps, railway tracks, and the old loading line, are protected and kept in pristine condition.
“The team have been really keen to get their feet under the desks at the new office! It’s important for us to convey a professional image to partners and clients who may visit our offices, and this new space does that.
Our old office was starting to feel a little tired and outdated, and the new central location is much better for meeting clients for a quick coffee and a catch up.” says Richard Stassen, Area Manager responsible for Dusseldorf.
The working environment is a crucial factor when it comes to motivating a team. The relocation to the Medienhafen area, and a new office with a more professional ambiance is something Richard believes will help spur his team onto even greater successes.
