Amsterdam 2014 - Annual Employee Awards and Christmas Party
The evening commenced with a ‘meet and greet’ in the reception of the stylish Hotel Arena which is situated in Amsterdam’s Eastern Quarter.
This was a great opportunity for our colleagues from different offices to put names to faces and for old friends to catch up since they last met.
The reception was followed by a delicious three course meal during which the Annual Employee Awards were presented.
CEO Mike Garlick and European Managing Director Frank Grootenboer opened the awards ceremony with retrospective review of the last 25 years of Michael Bailey Associates company history. As Mike and Frank proceeded with the awards, our colleagues were in full support of each team praising those who came out on top on the night.
One of our highest achieving colleagues said, “I’m very proud of myself for picking up a couple of awards on the night. It shows that my hard work is recognised and I feel valued within the company”.
Entertainment was provided by a jazz band with a contemporary twist which proved a wonderfully unique musical experience for all. When the band finished their set, our colleagues headed straight to the dance floor where they danced into the early hours and sang along to the floor filler classics the DJ played.

One of our newest colleagues stated, “Before the awards ceremony the only contact I’d had with my European colleagues was via telephone and email so it was great to finally meet face to face. This experience has definitely strengthened the relationship I have with them.”
While one long serving member of the Michael Bailey Associates team confessed that, “The atmosphere was electric and everyone was very happy to see each other which made for a great party. It was one of the best ceremonies we’ve ever had!”
