It’s not all work for Consultants contracting with Michael Bailey Associates!

Every year, the Field Management team at Michael Bailey Associates gets together with colleagues and contracting consultants for an informal and fun event. This year, the Netherlands team treated 40 guests to a round of golf, drinks and nibbles at the beautiful country estate of Kameryck, central Netherlands. The location was stunning, the weather was sunny and a great time was had by all!
Building relationships
The whole ethos of Michael Bailey Associates centres around building genuine, lasting relationships across the business with all stakeholders. As a workforce management consultancy, we are tasked with sourcing highly skilled people to work on projects for our clients. Through years of identifying and nurturing relationships with some of the most sought-after talented people in the Netherlands, we continue to deliver outstanding results to clients.
But these relationships don't just happen! Our teams are continually working to begin, maintain and further develop these relationships in order to create outcomes that are beneficial to everyone. Luckily for everyone involved, this doesn't just mean work!
We like to get to know our consultants on a personal level, to thank them for their contribution to our clients' successes and to make sure that we are providing the best service to them that we can. This is why we believe it's important to get out of the workplace from time to time and kick back. This is also what makes us different to other consultancies.
Golf day, May 2014
After successful events involving go-karting and bowling, the Field Management team – responsible for events such as this - decided to escape to the country and get away from it all with a round of pitch and putt.
About 40 consultants joined 10 of our staff from Michael Bailey Associates' Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Den Hague teams at the rural venue in time for pre-drinks and a quick coaching session for those new to the sport. There was an element of friendly competition too, attendees were evenly split into teams, each hoping to win the round and avoid the wooden spoon prize! After 9 well-fought holes, everyone got together for more drinks and nibbles, and the chance to meet up with peers, colleagues and associates.
Positive feedback
Annamijn Schmal and Elles Veenboer, Field Managers for the Amsterdam area who organized the event, were extremely pleased with the excellent feedback from guests attending the event.
"It was a really fun evening which was very well received by everyone, whether they had previously played golf or not. It's extremely important to us as Field Managers to provide excellent service to contracting consultants, but more than that, we work with such a great bunch of people, so we always have a fantastic time when we get together in a social environment. The event was really well received, with lots of positive messages from attendees."
"One thing that people constantly tell us is that there are very few consultancies out there that have a Field Management department, yet for us, it is one of the most important functions within our business. For me personally, I really enjoy talking to people and getting to know them, and the social side is definitely an added bonus. I had never played golf before in my life, so there were plenty of laughs on my team! "
It was a great day with great weather, a fantastic venue in a relaxing location away from it all with great company!"
Next events
The next event on the calendar for the Field Management team will be a drinks night to be held in Amsterdam. They are currently looking at dates for this, but it is likely to be held in September.
