The London team go a-haunting!
The Londoners have ditched their traditional ‘casual Friday’ for a ‘freaky Friday’ by coming into the office dressed in the most spooktacular attire! Each employee has been splattering themselves in fake blood, applying copious amounts of eyeliner, and fixing their fangs into place in a bid to win first prize for best makeup and dress.
The latest member of our international Oil & Gas team is Business Developer Jacky Scott, originally from Mexico and now based in London. She’s been educating the team on how to celebrate Halloween Mexican style! In Mexico the ‘Day of the Dead’ is a holiday which focuses on the gatherings of family and friends to commemorate the dead. Traditionally, private alters are built honouring past relatives using sugar skulls and marigolds, and the favourite foods and beverages of the deceased.
“Working in an international team is a real eye opener into the different cultures of our employees. We encourage our people to share their traditions with their colleagues, and this really helps with team bonding”, James Furlong, Director of Talent Acquisition.
The team are planning to round off the day of end of month drinks at the pub and will continue to haunt the streets Hoxton. Just remember if there’d something strange in your neighbourhood, who you gonna call?
We wonder what people will think of the costumes of the staff as they travel home on the tube...
