Senior Azure Data Engineer, The Netherlands
We are actively searching for a Senior Data Engineer for one of our clients within the Insurance sector.

Role details
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing data for over 5 million customers from a range of data sources, including customer data and channel data. You will work closely with data specialists and IT to ensure that data is extracted, imported, linked, and uploaded correctly for optimal analysis and model development. You will also develop and optimize data pipelines using Python, Spark, and SQL, as well as maintain, improve, and run data pipelines in an automated and scheduled manner. Additionally, you will collaborate with IT colleagues to ensure optimal Azure platform configurations to maximize impact and contribute to the creation of the 360-degree customer view.

• Extract, import, link, and upload data to ensure that your colleagues can use it optimally for their analyses and model development.
• Constantly look for ways to optimize our data sources. You will engage in dialogue with colleagues, explore current frameworks, and experiment to make your work and that of your team more efficient. You will demonstrate how your technical solutions can enhance data analysis and modelling.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines. You will write production code to bring entire data pipelines into production in an automated and scheduled manner.
• Maintain, improve, and run the data pipelines by programming and continuing to engage in dialogue with the business.
• Contribute to our Azure platform. You will ensure that our data products are always up-to-date on this platform. You will collaborate with IT colleagues to improve the Azure platform, truly adding value to the creation of the 360-degree customer view!


Requirements
As a Data Engineer (senior) with Azure knowledge, you possess the following unique qualities:
• You hold a master's degree or equivalent.
• You have at least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or a comparable position.
• For this position fluent in Dutch is necessary
• Experience with Python
• Experience with Spark
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with Azure Cloud solutions (Azure Data Factory, Azure DataLake Storage, Analysis Services).
