We are looking for a Carve-out Project Lead & PMO (new energy space)

Start: ASAP (22.04.2025)
Duration: Until end of July, with high probability of extension
Capacity: full time engagement 100% (66 Days)
Location: Remote (90%) / On-site flexibility in Essen, Munich
Language: Fluency in German and English

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead & manage a strategic project in our clients new energy solutions space. The project involves transitioning activities between (internal) legal entities, setting up and preparing these for operational readiness and ensuring business continuity, mandatory corporate services and business services for go-live. You will be responsible for leading execution through driving various workstreams (with own responsible leads), proactively managing risks, stepping in where needed to resolve roadblocks and report to the global Energy Retail organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate the end-to-end project execution, ensuring milestones are met.
• Act as Project Lead / PMO, structuring workstreams, reporting progress, and managing stakeholders.
• Oversee legal entity creation and integration into corporate systems (HR, Finance, SAP, etc.).
• Oversee business readiness activities, including internal and external SLAs, customer communications, and operational handover.
• Provide hands-on consultation to project members as appropriate/required to ensure timelines are met
• Ensure complete business readiness of the entity post-transaction and seamless business continuity during transition stages

Key Requirements:
• >5 years proven background in project leadership / PMO in corporate transactions or restructuring projects, consulting
• Experience with legal entity creation, financial systems, and operational readiness.
• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and drive alignment – between executives as well as functional experts
• All-hands-on-deck mindset to identify and work on operational topics as required to ensure project success
• Experience in energy solutions’ world is a plus, e.g., energy, home energy management, eMobility (CPO, EMP).
