Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer

Location: Aarau, Switzerland

The Role:

As a Cyber Security Engineer specializing in telecommunications, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our telecommunications systems. Your responsibilities will include:

Developing and implementing technical and organizational specifications to enhance cyber security within telecommunications.
Training employees on cyber security best practices and monitoring compliance with established requirements.
Shaping the development, certification, and operation of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) in the telecommunications sector.
Developing and reviewing the implementation of cyber security requirements, including relevant laws, industry recommendations, and internal directives, while supporting cyber security risk management.
Advising management on cyber security issues specific to telecommunications and helping to refine processes, specifications, and tools.
Creating and conducting awareness campaigns and training sessions on cyber security for both internal and external staff.
Evaluating service providers, suppliers, and products to ensure compliance with cyber security standards.
Identifying innovative solutions for cyber security challenges in telecommunications and strategies for risk reduction.
Auditing telecommunications projects to ensure quality and compliance with cyber security standards.
Assisting with internal and external audits and certifications, including ISO 27001.
Monitoring potential hazards, vulnerabilities, and technological developments while managing the lifecycle of telecommunications components.

What You Bring to the Table:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (university/FH/HF) or a comparable qualification with strong expertise in telecommunications, cyber security, or information security.
Several years of experience in a similar role.
Experience in engineering complex telecommunications infrastructures is a significant advantage.
Knowledge of risk management and practical experience with ISO/IEC 2700x series safety standards is preferred.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA) are a plus.
Proficiency in German and English; knowledge of French and/or Italian is an advantage.
