Job Title: Identity & Access Management (IAM) Specialist

Job Description:
As an Identity & Access Management (IAM) Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the secure and efficient management of identity and access services across both on-premises and cloud infrastructures. Working as part of the broader infrastructure service team, you will collaborate closely with hosting, endpoint management teams, and external IT providers to deliver IAM services. You will also oversee the performance and service deliverables of third-party suppliers supporting the IT infrastructure.
This role offers a unique opportunity to actively shape and optimize IAM strategies, contribute to security initiatives, and manage IAM operations to ensure seamless and secure access to the organization’s digital resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Implementation: Design, implement, operate, and optimize IAM solutions to ensure timely and secure access to the organization’s infrastructure.
Service Oversight: Oversee and ensure the effective delivery of IAM services from external IT suppliers, collaborating with internal teams (network specialists, security architects, etc.) as needed.
Project Involvement: Contribute to IAM-related technology projects and coordinate deliverables with external IT suppliers to meet business needs.
Requirements Gathering: Work closely with business representatives to gather IAM requirements, translate them into technical specifications and blueprints, and ensure alignment with business expectations.
Risk & Gap Analysis: Identify gaps and risks in the current IAM landscape, investigate possible solutions, and provide actionable recommendations to improve IAM systems and processes.
Incident Management: Actively participate in troubleshooting and resolution of high-priority outages, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
Compliance & Security: Ensure IAM services comply with security, quality, and safety standards, and maintain adherence to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Process & Documentation Management: Act as the IAM process manager, defining standards, procedures, and ensuring compliance. Produce technical documentation and identify opportunities for process improvements to optimize service delivery.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum Experience: 3+ years of relevant hands-on experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) or related fields.
IAM Expertise: Proven experience in operating and managing IAM systems and services, including multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management, and federation technologies.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with IAM technologies such as RSA, AzureAD, IBM ISAM, Okta, Usercube, or similar.
Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and related security concepts.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical thinking abilities with the capacity to analyze information, identify relationships, and recommend solutions based on findings.
Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders.
Additional Competencies:
Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve complex IAM-related issues, ensuring business continuity and security.
Process-Oriented: Detail-oriented and able to create and enforce processes that ensure efficiency and compliance.
Documentation & Reporting: Proficiency in creating clear and concise technical documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
