Information Security Officer (m/w/d)

For our client in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced Information Security Officer on a permanent basis.

Role Overview:
As an IT Security Officer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our client's information security strategy. You will ensure compliance with Swiss regulations, manage security frameworks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive IT security policies, protocols, and procedures.

• Monitor and analyze the organization’s IT infrastructure for security breaches and vulnerabilities.
• Ensure compliance with Swiss regulations and international security standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR).
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify areas of improvement.
• Coordinate with IT and other departments to ensure robust security practices are integrated into all projects and operations.
• Manage incident response and disaster recovery plans, including conducting regular drills.
• Stay updated on the latest security threats, trends, and technologies.
• Provide training and awareness programs for employees on cybersecurity best practices.
• Communicate security policies and requirements to stakeholders and ensure their adherence.
• Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and regulatory bodies regarding security initiatives and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in IT security, with a proven track record in a similar role.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in system/network administration and security tools.
• In-depth knowledge of current IT security frameworks, governance, and regulations specific to Switzerland.
• Proficiency in conducting security audits, risk assessments, and managing compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor are highly desirable.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in German is an advantage.
