Description
We have a current opportunity for an IT Project Manager (m/w/d) - Disaster Recovery on a contract basis.
Start: 01/05/2025
End: 28/11/2025
Volume: 37,5 hrs/week
Remote / attend up to 2 meetings onsite in Düsseldorf
Project:
The project aims to drive improvements in resilience for IT applications with relation to DR, patching and related processes. So that the project team is able to appropriately practice these processes together with related application modernisation where time and budget are available within the 2025 Corporate IT Programme.
The above described project goals require professional consultancy for our clients' application management and architecture teams to check if their processes for the above topics are in place and completed within the project time windows. Therefore, the external consultant has a unique position compared to the client's internal project staff and provides significantly different services than the internal staff.
The project follows an agile methodology, with services delivered iteratively through sprint meetings led by the consultant. Before each sprint, the consultant assesses feasible tasks and aligns them with project goals. Sprints are planned and approved in advance, with daily check-ins to ensure progress and alignment.
Tasks:
• Steering of task allocation and tracking of project team activities during all project phases
• Steering of the creation of the mandatory project document and updates
• Tracking of escalations, risk and issues via a RAID log based on own evaluation and expertise
• Tracking of expenditure in line with allocated project expenditure
• Creation of appropriate status reporting's on a weekly basis about the tracked expenditure in line with allocated project expenditure and presentation of it to the project steering committee for a sign-off
• Coordination of the communication between dependent projects (as documented in the in advance shared RAID log) and stakeholders via Sprint review meetings in the above mentioned rhythm through MS Teams with the aim to solicit feedback on project progress, dependencies and requirements
