Market Data Analyst, Amsterdam
The company is a leading financial institution, serving a diverse range of businesses within the Financial Markets and Group Treasury sectors. As part of the Traded Risk Management (TRM) department, the Market Data Analytics Team plays a crucial role in managing market data and supporting various functions such as market risk, product control, and counterparty credit risk.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with TRM teams to understand and meet their market data requirements
- Coordinate and implement market data for internal initiatives and upcoming regulatory changes
- Lead agile projects in collaboration with IT developers and system support teams
- Develop and maintain derived market data and proxy models for specific asset classes
- Conduct analysis on large datasets, processes, and technology systems
- Perform daily market data validation and reporting based on defined policies
- Collaborate with global teams across the entire market data lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, and release management
Requirements:
- Located in The Netherlands (or willing to relocate)
- Fluent in English
- Degree in finance or another quantitative subject
- Experience in a Market Risk or Product Control function
- Strong quantitative understanding of various products, risks, and pricing
- Familiarity with financial market policies, guidelines, and regulations
- Advanced knowledge of market risk metrics quantification and capital requirements
- Experience in handling large market data sets and associated technologies (SQL, Python, MSBI)
- Professional qualification such as PRM or FRM (desirable)
- Familiarity with Market Data APIs (e.g., Refinitiv RFA/UPA/Elektron APIs) is beneficial
- Proficiency in systems like Summit, Murex, Bloomberg, Markit, Reuters, and ActivePivot is a pre
- Experience in risk management within large, internationally active financial institutions (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills, adapting to different audiences and stakeholders
- Team player mindset, empowering others and collaborating effectively
- Strong analytical skills with a hands-on approach
Location: Amsterdam (36 hours a week, hybrid 2 days a week onsite)
Hourly rate: Negotiable
Project length: 12 months, contract to permanent
