SAP PM Consultant (m/f/d)

We are currently looking for a  SAP PM Consultant (m/f/d) with experience on energy sector data

Start: July 2025

Duration: ca. 10-20 Working days  (spread across a month) (possible extension for implementation)

Location: Remote / Workshop in Munich

Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP PM Consultant experience in integrating Energy Meter Data into SAP to design SOX-compliant solution within SAP Standard for managing electricity meters, consumption data, contracts, and invoices. We are at the first step of this project. A key part of this role is to convince business stakeholders of the value and feasibility of using SAP for smart metering processes, ensuring alignment between technical capabilities and business expectations.

Current System Landscape

• Data Sources:
  • OSS: Meter inventory
  • Netsite: Site and energy documentation
  • SAP R/3: Contracts, invoices, and payments
  • Salesforce: Communication sites, antennas, and electricity meters
• Meter Readings: Annual, with monthly tracking planned
• Invoices: Stored in R/3 and Netsite; validated against meter data
• Payments: Processed via SAP
• Architecture: No central smart metering platform; REFX and SAP IM4 under evaluation

Key Responsibilities

• Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Advocate for SAP as the central platform for smart metering
  • Translate technical possibilities into clear business value
• Workshop Facilitation:
  • Lead a collaborative session to assess system complexity, use cases, and integration needs
• Blueprint Development if needed (now/future)?
  • Design a SOX-compliant SAP-based solution for smart metering
  • Evaluate feasibility of SAP PM, REFX, or IM4 for metering use cases
• Meter Inventory Modelling:
  • Consolidate meter data from OSS and Salesforce
  • Link meters to physical sites using Netsite and Salesforce data
• Measurement & Data Management:
  • Define monthly and annual measurement processes in SAP PM
  • Enable historical tracking and comparison with invoices
  • Support data export to robotics for automation
• Contract & Invoice Integration:
  • Validate and link electricity contracts in SAP
  • Compare meter data with invoices and trigger payments via SAP
  • Ensure long-term retention of validated measurement data
• Shared Sites Use Case:
  • Model shared invoicing scenarios for multi-tenant locations

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in SAP PM, REFX, or IM4  (SAP ISU could be interesting)
• Strong understanding of metering, utility billing, and SOX compliance
• Familiarity with Salesforce-SAP integration
• Ability to model technical and commercial processes in SAP
• Experience with legacy system migration and blueprinting
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
