Snr Business Analyst (m/f/d) Energy

We are currently looking for a Senior business Analyst (m/f/d) experienced in the energy industry

Location: 50% Remote (2-3days HO) / 50% onsite Düsseldorf

Project description: The project is to replace the client´s old, in-house built legacy system (NEON) for power optimization, scheduling and nomination in the EU markets with the new standard software “DeltaXE” of vendor Volue.

Task (performed independently):
Professional consulting of the senior BA and BA lead on the topics: project documentation, project tool maintenance (JIRA / HPQC), and their review/validation, reporting and vendor management. Input will be provided by BA lead and the Project Manager in advance:
- Requirements gathering and Business & Functional Specifications: plan and organize meetings (online calls / in presence) with business representative(s) to capture and document business requirements coming from the Business. Input will be provided by BA lead and Business PM / representative.
- Change Requests / Use Cases: review, improve existing and develop new requirements and Change Requests and Requirement Specifications if required (due to changing/ not captured business requirements) based on input from Business PM/representative and BA lead. Register those in the project backlog tool (JIRA). Document online meetings among the external vendor and business. Update Change Requests / Use Cases based on input gathered and agreed there.
- Tests: preparation, improvement and enhancement of Test documents (Smoke / Regression / Functional / UAT Test Cases in HPQC, Test Results in HPQC and Test Reports based on provided template) and review of existing documentations (see before), validation of items delivered (developed / configured elements of the client software) by the development team.
- JIRA tracking: understanding, documenting, and registering defects, tasks, changes in the project defect / backlog tool, JIRA. Track progress of entries (defect, change, task) and updating those in JIRA based on own knowledge.
- Meetings: participate in project meetings (BAU meetings and status-quo with BA Lead / PM, ca. 1x
per week), prepare and document content.
- DeltaXE configuration: smaller configurations in the system based on specified requirements and input provided from BA lead / PM in advance.
Used Tools: JIRA, HPQC/ALM, DevOps, MS Teams, PowerBI, DeltaXE software
Documentation: Upload the documents to library in MS Teams

Skills:
- Business Analyst
- Experience in Business and IT aspects of the Power Scheduling Business
- strong knowledge and expertise in the energy industry
- At least 5 years of professional experience in similar roles as Business Analyst with technical and
strong Business focus
- Experience in an Agile way of working (nice to have)
- Experience in Trading, Short Term Trading, Dispatch, Scheduling, Nomination is a plus
- Strong analytical and structured way of thinking,ability to
present complex topics targeted to the audience
- Fit in collaboration tools primarily JIRA, Power BI, MS Teams, SharePoint, HPQC/ALM
- Experience with DeltaXE software (Volue) is a plus
- Good communication skills in German and English - 2-
