Workday Solutions Architect
Basel, Switzerland
- Start date: ASAP
- End date: 12 months contract
- Work location: Basel
- Workload: 100 %
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the HR team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Act as a “go to” person for technology workstream (Vendor and IT tech experts, Corporate Security experts etc.) during the complete implementation cycle
- Ensure the design and implementation follows best practices for functional and non-functional requirements
- Periodically review and drive the implementation team towards standard Workday features vs customizations keeping performance, scalability, and cost impact in mind
- Design, configure and implement complex processes and functionalities to meet business requirements
- Assist integrating Workday with other systems
- Participate in the design discussions and architectural decisions
- Maintain and support the existing processes in the Workday platform
- Support data analysis and data migration between legacy and Workday systems
- Coach and assist colleagues who are less experienced with the Workday platform
- Produce technical documentation
Must haves:
- Workday experience (minimum 5 years of experience working with Workday and covering architecture work)
- Strong architecture and technical design experience (covering multiple IT architecture disciplines, including application, information, integration, infrastructure, and security)
- Experience defining HR business and systems design, developing system requirements, and implementing practical business solutions
- Good understanding of cloud computing concepts (security controls, integrations, access)
Nice to have:
- Strong understanding on integrations (experience with integrations will be beneficial specifically in what regards people data integration, understanding the implications and impact, downstream)
- Workday certification is an advantage
- Experience with business process design and optimization is an advantage
- Experience defining the data architecture and data migration approach is an advantage (HR data)
- Experience integrating Workday with PeopleSoft HCM specifically is an advantage
- Familiarity with GDPR regulations
